This blog serves the mission of Intelliversity – to enable innovators (entrepreneurs, scientists and inventors) to build winning management teams and corporate cultures.

The problem is, this is very hard to do in print, for several reasons:  First of all, the problem is a moving target as the economy changes and management science advances.  Second, the ideal management team and corporate culture for a business depends on the particular business model and the founders.  Third, the best way to communicate the ideas of organizational science depends on the listener and every listener is different.  So there is a lot to say on this blog, from different points of view and for different listeners.

We’ve organized the blog into broad topic areas.  Each topic is led by one distinguished or well-known expert who has written extensively on that topic. You’ll find the topics as tabs on the main menu bar.  The name of the leader of each topic is found by hovering the pointer over the desired tab.  Take your time to find the topics and leaders that deal with the issues you’re facing.

You’ll note that these topics are broad and overlapping.  This is unavoidable as there are many different ways to look at building teams and corporate cultures.  There are many different ways of cutting the pie.  For this reason, you may find yourself attracted to a number of related or overlapping topic areas.  This is not a problem; it’s an opportunity to find the speakers most useful to you.

A note on our leaders:  The leaders have all written or spoken extensively in the field of organizational development, management science or business generally. Our criteria for selecting these leaders are:  1) they’ve been widely cited in the literature or have received a high level of acceptance and 2) their values are consistent with our values at Intelliversity:  scientific, practical, innovative and committed to excellence.  In other words, we are committed to presenting you with ideas and best practices that are known to work in many companies and have scientific research behind them.  In brief, we must have confidence that their recommendations will actually work to create winning organizations.

What won’t you find here?  You won’t find here articles that have primary purposes other than business success, such as for example those that are spiritually or politically motivated.  (However, there may be spiritual or political ideas expressed from time to time.) We are also not interested here in articles that are mainly for personal development or motivation.  If you share our focused values and interests, you’ll find we’ve done the filtering for you.  For more information on our philosophical values, see the About tab on the intelliversity website www.intelliversitycampus.org.

So enjoy this fascinating and practical blog and take the time to respond to it with comments.  Even if you’re not interested in commenting, we invite you to subscribe to this blog, in order to obtain new white papers and other materials that only members can receive.  You’ll also be entitled to email notification of blog updates that are of interest to you.

We also invite you to explore further the in-depth publications, training programs and consulting offered by most of the leaders, by linking to their websites. Soon you will be obtain many of these capability-building materials directly from Intelliversity.  Keep your eyes on the Intelliversity main website www.intelliversitycampus.org for what is available.

Enjoy!
